- Wild West Wrestling was a promotion run by Ken Mantell during the second half of 1987. Mantell had recently lost his booking job for Bill Watts' UWF when it was bought out by Jim Crockett.
- The promotion's weekly syndicated TV show was produced by Channel 39 (KXTX) in Dallas and was hosted by longtime World Class announcer Bill Mercer.
- When Fritz Von Eric decided to leave the business, in late 1987, he sold 40% of World Class to Mantell. An interpromotional angle was run resulting in Wild West being absorbed into World Class.
